A store conversion rate compresses several different moments into one number. Someone arrives with a level of intent, sees a particular storefront, evaluates its claims and decides whether the app feels worth the commitment. A change at any point can move the headline rate.
Begin with the denominator
Before judging the listing, ask who reached it. Campaign mix, search visibility, featuring and seasonality can change visitor intent. Compare like-for-like traffic where possible, and annotate meaningful acquisition changes.
Look for the broken step
Separate impression-to-page-view behaviour from page-view-to-install behaviour. The first can expose weak relevance or positioning; the second more often points toward unmet questions, trust or creative communication.
A useful analysis does not merely name the movement. It narrows the explanations your team still needs to test.
End with a decision
Write the action before the chart. If the analysis cannot change a creative, audience or measurement decision, it may be interesting but it is not yet useful.
